Mirella Records, founded in 2023 by Italian DJ and producer Cosimo Mandorino, explores the elusive and liminal space between Italo Disco, Italian Wave, and library music, cult genres that in the 1980s found in Italy a hotbed for equally pioneering and niche productions. The label hence bridges the present with the heritage of these genres, to trace a soundscape that keeps revealing itself as relevant as ever before.
